Holy Cross pays $500 per enrolled kW of battery, up to $12,500, for members who let the co-op call on their battery under its distribution flexibility tariff. On a Powerwall 3 at about $19,000 installed for the first unit, that can cover a large share of the cost; confirm your enrolled kW with Holy Cross before counting on a specific figure.
If you’d rather keep full control, the time-of-use path pays the lesser of $250 per kW or $100 per kWh, also up to $12,500.
Batteries and the EEOP
The county’s Exterior Energy Offset Program lists battery storage alongside solar as an on-site way to offset snowmelt, pools, spas and heat tape. Owners who install solar or batteries within a year after construction can get a refund of fees paid.
