Information you give us: name, phone, email, address or ZIP, and project details you choose to share in forms, the estimate quiz or calculators (for example bill range, utility, roof age, timeline, financing interest and EV or battery plans).

Consent records: when you submit a form we store the exact consent language shown, the date and time, your IP address and your browser’s user-agent, as proof of your consent to be contacted.

Attribution cookie: a first-party cookie (acs_attr, 90 days) records how you found us — campaign tags such as UTM parameters and Google Ads click IDs (gclid), the referring site and your landing page — so we know which marketing works. We may upload click IDs to Google Ads to measure conversions.

Browser storage: we store small flags locally (for example, that you already saw a pop-up or unlocked a checklist).

If you upload a bill, the file is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) solely to extract usage information and is not stored by us. We instruct the system not to extract names, account numbers or service addresses. We keep only anonymous usage statistics (whether a read succeeded, the utility, and processing time). Extracted numbers stay in your browser unless you submit them to us.

If you use the chat assistant, your messages are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate replies, and we store the conversation with a random chat ID (a first-party cookie, acs_chat, 30 days), the page you started on, and your IP address and browser type for security and rate limiting. If you later submit any form on this site, the conversation is linked to your inquiry so our team can follow up without asking you to repeat yourself, and it is included in the notification our team receives. Conversations that are never linked to an inquiry are deleted after 180 days. The assistant is an AI and can make mistakes — please don’t share sensitive information such as account numbers or financial details.

If you upload another company’s solar quote, the file is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to read its terms, and we keep the file and what was read from it so our team can review it. If you then send us your contact information, the quote is attached to your inquiry (or to your existing record if you’ve contacted us before); if you don’t, it is deleted within 30 days. The AI is instructed not to copy your name, address or account details. We never share your quote with other installers.

If you enter an address in our Solar Studio, it is sent to the U.S. Census Geocoder to find coordinates; the coordinates are used to look up your utility territory (Colorado Energy Office map) and modeled solar production (NREL PVWatts). If you use the Roof Designer (or when available in the Solar Studio), the address and its coordinates are also sent to Google (Geocoding, Places, Solar and Maps APIs) to find your roof, analyze it and show the satellite image. We do not store the address unless you submit a form.

To respond to you, prepare estimates and proposals, schedule site visits, operate and improve the site, measure advertising, and comply with law. We do not sell your personal information or share it with other installers. We use service providers who process data for us (web hosting on Amazon Web Services, email delivery via Amazon SES, AI extraction via Anthropic, and advertising measurement via Google). We may disclose information if required by law.

Reply STOP to any text to opt out of texts. Email info@aicoloradosolar.com to access, correct or delete your information or to opt out of calls and emails. You can clear or block cookies in your browser; the site still works without the attribution cookie.

We keep lead records as long as needed for the purposes above and our legal obligations, then delete or anonymize them. Data is stored on servers we control with access limited to our team.

This site isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
